Shanghai, called in Chinese "Hu" or "Shen" for short, is situated at 31.14 degrees north latitude and 121.29 degrees east longitude, on the eastern fringe of the Yangtze River Delta and in the midle of China's north-south coastlines. It is a gate to the Yangtze River Valley. Shanghai has a delightful climate with four distinct seasons. The average temperature of the year stands at 15.7∧ and annual precipitation is around 1200 milliliters. A municipality directly under the administration of the Central Goverment and an open city on the coast, Shanghai is the largest economic and trade center, a historical cultural city. Covering a total area of 6341 square meters,including 523 square meters for Pudong New Area, Shanghai has a total population of more than 13 million.
An epitome of Chinese history in the past century, Shanghai can be a "Museum" of China's morden history. Nearly all major historical events from the democratic revolutionled by Sun Yatsen to the new-democratic revolution led by the Communist Party of China have left over a plenty of glorious and a valuable historical remains and sites, such as the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the former residence of late Premier Zhou Enlai, Dr Sun Yatsen's former residence and memorial hall, etc.

▲Learn How to Make Chinese Folk Handicrafts Dough figuring, paper-cutting and Chinese knot are typical folk handicrafts in China. They are widely spread in China and easy to learn. During the performance, you can buy the handicrafts on the spot.

Bike Renting
Bike Renting Guide
1. Show your valid identification (ID, passport etc).
2. Fill in the bike rent form.
3. Pay the deposit: RMB 200
4. Check the bike and make sure it is in good condition.
5. Please ride safely and obey the traffic rules.
6. Primary charge is RMB10, after 4 hours, RMB2/hour.
7. When return the bike, it will be inspected by the employee before getting the deposit back. According use time to pay the rental fee.
8. If there are some damages to the bike, repairing fee must be paid.
